Items of personal information to be collected
The company collects personal information as follows to provide services to customers such as membership signing up, consulting, service request, etc.
① Collected items : Name, birthdate, gender, resident registration ID number, login ID, password, home telephone number, address, mobile phone number, email, occupation, service use record, access log, cookies, access IP information
② Methods of collecting personal information : homepage (membership signing up), postings, promotions
③ Consulting request : Name, mobile phone number, age, branch
The company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.
① Fulfilment of service contract for the service and provision of service
② Membership management
verifying identification for membership service use, personal identification, preventing fraudulent use, preventing unauthorized use, confirming the intention to sign up as member, handling complaints and conveying announcement
③ Use for marketing and advertisement
development and specialization of new service (product), delivery of advertisement information such as events, providing service and posting advertisement according to demographics, identifying access frequency or statistics of member's service use
④ Consulting request : consultation for Lasik/Lasek in N-finders (Phone, text messages)
In principle, the information is destroyed without delay when the purpose of collection and use of personal information is satisfied. Except, the following information will be kept for the period indicated below.
The item to be kept : Login ID
The reason : To prevent re-sign up with the same login ID after withdrawal
The period : Permanently
For consulting : 6 months after the date of collection (destroyed without delay upon the customer's withdrawal of consent)
In principle, the company destroys personal information without delay when the purpose of collection and use of personal information is satisfied.
The procedure and method of destruction are as follows:
① Procedure of destruction
The information that customers enter when signing up for membership, etc., will be moved to a separate DB (separate file box in case of paper) after the purpose is satisfied, kept for a certain period according to the internal policy together with the reasons for information protection in accordance with other related regulations (refer to Processing and Retention Period), and destroyed.
The personal information moved to a separate DB shall not be kept and be used for other purposes except those stipulated by the law.
② Method of destruction
Personal information saved in electronic file form is deleted using a technique that will not allow the regeneration of the record.
The personal information printouts are either shredded or incinerated.
A user can view and edit the personal information and request withdrawal. A user may click "Change of Personal Information"(or "change of member information") to view and correct the personal information of the user or "Cancellation of subscription" to cancel subscription(to withdraw consent), go through the user identification procedure, and view or correct information or cancel the service. Or contacting the personnel in charge of personal information via paper, telephone or email for any request.
If a user asks for correction or deletion of error in personal information, the company will not use nor provide the related personal information until the correction is completed. Furthermore, if wrong personal information is already provided to a third party, the company shall take action to correct the error by relaying the result of correction without delay.
The company uses "cookies," etc., that frequently store and find customers' data.
① Purpose of using cookies, etc.
Analyzes the access frequency and visiting hours of members and non-members, identifies preferences and areas of interest of users, and tracks records and verifies the degree of participating in various events and visiting frequencies to provide target marketing and personalized service. A customer can choose whether or not to accept cookies. Thus, customers may set up an option in their web browser to allow all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or reject the storing of cookies.
② How to Set up Rejection of Cookies
Example : To reject the installation of cookies, customers may set up an option in their web browser to allow all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or reject the storing of cookies.
Method of setting
Example(in case of Internet Explorer): tools at the top of web browser > Internet Option > Personal Information However, there may be difficulties in providing services when a customer refuses to install cookies.
A user may withdraw consent to the collection of customer's information at any time. To "Withdraw consent"(Cancel membership), a user need to log in and click my page > personal information > Cancel membership and verify the password. Or if you contact the staff in charge of personal information management via email, your personal information will be destroyed without delay.
Consent from a legal representative is required for collection and provision of personal information to the third party when a customer aged under 14 years. The company may request minimum information of legal representative to the underage customer in order to gain the consent of the legal representative. The legal representative can access and request the information that the underage member submitted and may request to withdraw consent. The personal information can be viewed, modified and request withdrawal in "Change of personal information".
